AmeriMex International acquires new mill site in Mexico

Irvine, CA, Feb. 14 2002 PRN Newswire-First Call via Comtex AmeraMex International Inc., (AMMX) announced today that it has acquired land for its new mill site in Ojos Negros, located approximately 35 miles east of Ensenada, Baja Mexico. The site will cover 100 acres and employ as many as 100 people, and provide additional electrical power to the community from its co-generation plant.

Mr. Behling, AMMX CEO, stated this site could be producing as many as 1,200,000 board feet of lumber in the near future. Currently, AmeraMex is selling its lumber in the Mexico and the United States. Mr Beling also stated that several investment firms, as well as potential joint venture partners, have approached AmeraMex to participate in its future growth. Planned expenditures are projected to exceed $15,000,000.00 over the next few years
