CHICO, CA — April 29, 2008 — AmeraMex International, Inc. (OTC: AMMX), a provider of heavy equipment to shipping, construction, logging and mining companies, today announced that it received a $330,000 order for empty-container handlers from its heavy equipment distributor in Singapore. The order is scheduled to ship in June 2008.
The $330,000 order is for container handlers with the capacity to stack empty 40 ft. containers in storage facilities belonging to logistics companies, which provide the manpower and equipment to load and offload ships dockside. Once the containers are unloaded, the container handlers will allow stevedores to stack the empty containers, up to eight high, to increase storage capacity at shipping docks, rail yards and trucking terminals.
“We are pleased to be working with a network of heavy equipment distributors in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Nigeria, Egypt, Vietnam, Russia, Central America and Mexico,” said Lee Hamre, AmeraMex CEO and president. “Our network of international heavy equipment distributors provides AmeraMex with qualified distribution channels for resale of pre-owned equipment into markets supporting the growing needs of developing countries, and provides our customers an avenue to dispose of older equipment currently being replaced with EPS Tier lll compliant equipment.”
“We have been in business for over thirty years and are looking at what we believe to be a record year for revenue,” commented AmeraMex CFO Warren Murphy. “Based on order backlog and our pipeline of potential orders, we are on track to increase revenue by over 30 percent for the year and report a profitable second quarter. We expect to remain profitable for the remainder of 2008 and beyond,” added Murphy.
