AmeraMex International Inks $525,000 Order From Major Logistics Support Company
LAS VEGAS, NV — June 10, 2008 — AmeraMex International, Inc. (OTC: AMMX), a provider of heavy equipment to shipping, construction, logging and mining companies, today announced that it received $525,000 order for Taylor Machine Works’ ergonomically designed break-bulk material handlers. The TX Series/24-Inch Load Center has an 18 ton capacity, and is known for its ruggedness and reliability. Destined for one of the largest ports in the U.S., the break-bulk handlers will be delivered in the next few weeks.
“The container shipping industry is experiencing a current annual growth run rate of 4 to 7 percent and is expected to increase with the weakened U.S. dollar,” commented AmeraMex CEO Lee Hamre. “With this growth come increased dockside carbon emissions that are reduced by replacing older equipment with new EPA Tier lll compliant equipment. Our customers are working on programs to replace all of their container handlers and break-bulk equipment with engines over 100HP by 2012.
Transferring cargo in an efficient and timely manner is a key factor for all logistics support companies. Material handlers provided by AmeraMex (large capacity fork lifts) streamline what is a time consuming and labor intensive effort by enabling the stevedores or longshoremen to securely move break-bulk materials (partial containers and pallets) into storage or from one mode of transport to another.
AmeraMex International sells, leases, and rents heavy equipment to companies within four industries: construction (light and infrastructure), shipping, mining, and logging. AmeraMex’s largest product line is specialized container handling equipment that enables stevedoring companies to quickly and efficiently load and offload container and general freight ships dockside. AmeraMex, with customers in North America, South America, Asia, and Eastern Europe, has over 30 years of experience in heavy equipment sales and service and inventories top-of-the-line equipment from manufacturers such as Taylor Machine Works Inc. and Terex Heavy Equipment.
